The Artistic Gymnastics World Championships qualifications wrapped up today in Kitakyushu and the results are in for which athletes will be competing in the all-around and individual apparatus finals! The highest scoring 24 gymnasts for both men and women are eligible to compete in the all-around final. For each individual apparatus, the top 8 athletes get to compete for a spot on the podium. Here’s a look at the athletes who have qualified for the all-around finals which are coming up tomorrow and Friday.


The women’s all-around opens the medal events tomorrow at 6 PM JST (Japan Standard Time) followed by the men’s all-around on Friday, and the individual apparatus finals on Saturday and Sunday. All of these events are sure to be exciting, with a mixture of Olympic champions and first-time Worlds athletes competing. The women’s all-around is an especially anticipated event, as U.S. gymnasts Wong and DiCello will attempt to continue the American win streak that has been going since 2011. Their gold-winning predecessors include gymnastics stars Simone Biles, Morgan Hurd, and Jordyn Wieber, to name a few.
