Day two of Olympic hockey feature just two games, both exciting in their own right.
Denmark 1 – China 3
Group B
Qiqi Lin scored twice, one coming in the final 40 seconds of the game, to lift China over Denmark in this game. China’s other goal was scored by Ni Lin late in the third period.
History was made with Malene Frandsen scoring Denmark’s first-ever Olympic goal. It came just 8:06 into the first period of the game.
ROC 5 – Switzerland 2
Group A
Polina Bolgareva put up three goals in ROC’s first game of the tournament to secure a win. ROC’s other two goals were scored by Yekaterina Dobrodeyeva and Anna Shibanova.
For Switzerland, Lara Stalder and Alina Muller each scored in this one.
It was a back and forth game with fantastic chances. Both teams hit 30 shots on goal but ultimately, ROC got ahead and Switzerland didn’t have the offensive power to come back.

Japan vs Denmark – Group B
Czech Republic vs Sweden – Group B
United States vs ROC – Group A
