In the lone postponed match, Leicester City bounced back from their close loss to the Wolves to beat Burnley. Burnley was riding high after their convincing win over Brighton this past week but could not maintain that momentum in this match. It was a closely contested match until the final ten minutes. James Maddison broke a months-long scoring drought when he opened the scoring of the match in the 82nd minute. Jamie Vardy came back from a long injury spell that kept him out of the lineup for all of 2022. He scored in his return putting the final stamp on the match giving the victory to the Foxes. Leicester moved into the 12th spot in the table and Burnley missed out on an opportunity to move above Everton if they could have managed a single point.
